Our Classes

Currently the school is made up as follows:
Year R - 14
Year 1 - 11
Year 2 - 16
Year 3 - 10
year 4 - 15
year 5 - 14
Year 6 - 17

In all we are 97 pupils and 16 staff in either full or part time roles.
The school has a Breakfast Club running from 8:00 a.m. and an After School Care Club (Wodpecker Club), running form 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., as well as a very extensive activities clubs section (please see latest clubs guide).
Musical instrument lessons are available at the school, which are fee paying (please contact the office for latest prices). At present the school offers: piano, clarinet, flute, trumpet, cornet, drums and shortly will add guitar.
The school serves the villages of Hambridge, Westport, Isle Brewers and Isle Abbott's. We are located just off the B3165 on the left hand side, towards the end of the village of Hambridge, just before the old British Legion building and the church (as going from Curry Rivel to Ilminster).

We have 4 classrooms, an ICT suite, a library, two playgrounds (one for reception only), a small games field comprising the Woodpecker Way (a play activity structure), another adventure play structure and an outdoor stage.
The school now boasts its own brand new minibus, which we hope will provide extra opportunities for getting out of school as well as providing transport for fixtures.

We are very lucky that we have access to the village hall next door, which allows us to have PE in the winter, lunch (hot meals are served at the school) all together and somewhere to stage our shows. The recreation ground is also next door and we have been given permission to use it for Cross countries, athletics and all types of sports matches.
