Brilliant Us

Our school is a place where pupils are able to experience a whole range of lovely activities. Please find below pictures of the exciting things we get up to.

These lucky poetry enthusiasts got to go to a Poetry Slam at Dillington House this morning. They got to perform a poem, take their own poetry along and meet the famous poet A.F Harold!

We are so proud of these three children who attended the first Preston Primary Academy Trust Poetry competition this evening. All three children did so well and were so brave performing in front of a big audience. A big well done must go to Charly who came runner up in a very strong year 5/6 category!

Our incredible Green Team retained their trophy by winning the Small School Area Athletics at Huish Academy in the sunshine yesterday. The whole team ran, jumped, hurdled and threw fantastically.

Curry Mallet Primary School joined us on the 20th June for a KS1 Multiskills Festival.

Hambridge is a GOOD school! Ofsted commented that pupils ‘love their school’ and that staff ‘set high expectations for all’. We are amazingly proud of all the staff and children here at Hambridge. Thank you to all of you for making Hambridge such a wonderful school community!

The children had a brilliant day in their houses on Wednesday this week for our whole school Geography Day. The children studied Kenya, Mexico, Germany and Australia.

On the 26th April we welcomed Andrew Moffat in to our school to deliver his No Outsiders programme.

We celebrated the King's Coronation with a family picnic and Crown Competition.

Eco Club decided to organise a cake sale to raise money for the Turkey and Syria Earthquake appeal. They did really well and raised over £160 for a very deserving cause. A special thank you to all parents and children for baking a lot of the cakes which were sold.

Our wonderful choir went to Wellington School on Tuesday to take part in their Come and Sing Event. The children really enjoyed this brilliant experience and Mrs Hamm was very proud of them all.

Congratulations to Beatrice, James, Bethany, Dara and Betty on winning the in school International Day of Mathematics math comic competition on March 14th!

World Book Day 2023 - The children were asked to come to school dressed as an adjective. Can you guess which adjective they all are?

Our Eco Club ran an extremely successful book swap on World Book Day. The children loved swapping their books for new ones.

Santa came to visit and delivered some presents courtesy of FOHSA to each of our classes.

Teddy from Pippin decided to make donations to St Margarets Hospice and The Food Bank for Christmas. What a generous gift!

The children all came together to have a yummy Christmas Lunch. The children had a brilliant time and sang along to many Christmas songs!

Last week, Discovery and Pippin delivered a fantastic performance of their Nativity. The children did so well; they spoke so clearly and sang beautifully. Well done to everyone involved!

Thank you Mrs P for our beautiful Christmas tree.

WELLINGTON MATHS CHALLENGE 2022

Ilminster Christmas Light Switch-on. Mrs Hamm took our fantastic choir to sing in the Market Square.

Kilve residential Day 2

We have had an awesome day. From climbing wall to abseiling to cluedo to shelter builder and grass sledging - It's been full of fun! Lots of happy (and tired) faces.

Parents - we are sorry there are less photos tonight but we are having a nightmare with the internet connection. We promise to share lots of photos with you when we return. Your children are an absolute credit to you all. What polite, fun and lovely children you have. laugh

Kilve Residential - Day 1

We have the most amazing start to our residential. Team games, getting lost in the maze, hot chocolate before bed......

All of our classes took part in a Road Safety Workshop. They were taught what road safety means and how to stay safe when they are walking or playing near a road.

Our wonderful choir took part in Wellington School's Come and Sing Event on Saturday 19th March 2022

World Book Day 2022 - Where's Wally?!

On World Book Day the children from Key Stage 1 came back to school in the evening wearing their pyjamas, for story time and a hot chocolate. Key Stage 2 came back for a reading quiz.
